About Us
Hello everyone! Welcome!
My name is Lidia. I’m the researcher and skincare formulator behind Nomadic Traditions. I started making skincare for fun; at the time, my father, who was butchering a pig, suggested I use the fat to make skincare like they would in the old days. I decided to give it a try and replaced the coconut oil in my recipe with lard. To my surprise, my family member's severe hand eczema improved drastically after just a few applications of the first balm. This experience led to a lot of research and experimentation with animal fats. Although lard is excellent, beef fat became the favorite for it absorbs into the skin faster and has a lighter weight feel. Animal fats excel in the treatment of dry skin, acne, scarring, and more. My research found that ancient Egyptians used fat for various skin concerns since the 2nd millennium BCE! I hope you will love our collection of ancestral-inspired skincare as much as we do.
